How do you get braces off your teeth?
Removing braces is quick and easy. Sometimes it feels a little tight, but it usually doesn’t hurt. The brace is attached to the tooth with plastic adhesive. So it doesn’t stick directly to the tooth; instead, there is a layer of plastic adhesive between the brace and the tooth.
The bond between the resin and the tooth is much stronger than the bond between the bracket and the resin. So the orthodontist uses pliers to pry the bracket off the resin. The bracket is now removed, and all that remains on the tooth is the resin.
Of course, this also has to be removed, and it is taken off the tooth using a special polisher. Afterward, the teeth are thoroughly cleaned, and they look like new.
