Problems with Braces Hygiene
Dental care with fixed braces is a challenge for most patients. But if you’re determined and persistent, you’ll develop a routine that helps you keep your teeth healthy.
The areas surrounding the brackets are the main problem. The enamel directly beneath the bracket is protected by the bracket and the adhesive.
A regular toothbrush can’t reach the small nooks, crannies, and gaps created by the brackets and wires. For these areas, you’ll need a “special tool”—not from a hardware store, but from a drugstore: interdental brushes.
